Cake Poker Summary
Cake Poker is emerging as a top poker room in industry and is one of the poker rooms of choice for low to mid limit players. The Cake Poker bonus is a lucrative 100% up to $500 bonus and is easier to clear than most poker bonuses. I would strongly advise that you at least download Cake Poker and clear the bonus, which should be easy enough thanks to the many fish that play the lower limits. Cake is a secure and reliable poker room that will be a competitor in the industry for many years to come. The 33% rakeback offered by Cake is also one of the highest among the top online poker rooms. For more detailed information on check out the rest of this Cake Poker review.
Cake Poker Bonus
The Cake Poker bonus is a 100% matching bonus up to $500 on all initial deposits. In order to release the bonus you have to earn Frequent Player Points by playing in cash games and tournaments at Cake Poker. In cash games you earn 1 FPP for every $1 that is raked up to a maximum of 3 FPP’s per hand. In tournaments you earn 7 points for every $1 paid in fees. Every frequent player point you earn is worth $0.06 of your Cake Poker bonus. Your bonus is then released in $10 increments every time you reach 166.67 points. You have 90 days to clear the bonus and any amount that is not cleared after this time will be forfeit.
Cake Poker Rakeback
The Cake Poker rakeback offer of 33% is one of the highest in the industry. Getting Cake Poker rakeback is a great way to lower your costs of playing poker and can be the difference between a break even and a winning poker player.
Cake Poker Promotions
* New Depositor Freerolls – Play in the $500 new depositor freeroll Saturday at 2pm. Gold Chip Giveaways - As you earn frequent player points you earn Cake Poker gold chips. These gold chips can be used to play in exclusive Cake Poker tournaments or in the Cake Poker shop. Each month, the more gold chips you earn, the quicker the next gold chip is earned in terms of FPP’s. The first gold chip is earned after 120 points and this amount decreases until the fifth gold chip only takes 70 points. The sixth gold chip is then given for free and each gold chip after that is earned after 70 point increments.
* Gold Cards – Every time a cash game table reaches a predetermined amount of rake a gold card is released. If the gold card matches one of your hole cards that gold card is added to your collection.
* Gold Card Daily Lottery - Cake announces a new gold card every day and if you own that specific card you can redeem it to win cash, tournament entries or other prizes.
* Gold Card 500 - Every gold card that you win earns you miles in a weekly gold card race. The top 10 mile collectors each week win cash prizes between $500 and $110.
* Refer-a-Friend - $100 for you, $100 for your friend.
Cake Poker Tournaments
Cake Poker has a quality tournament schedule with lots of lower buy-in tournaments to keep you busy. The majority of the tournaments are no limit hold’em and a lot of Cake’s tournaments are re-buy/add-on tournaments. You can find buy-ins up to $50 every day in addition to the bigger $100K weekly and $250K monthly guarantees. Those big guaranteed tournaments are now included in Card Players online player of the year standings.
Cake Poker has a few variations of sit and go tournaments such as double or nothing tournaments, bounty tournaments and more. The sit and go’s up to $25 consistently fill, but the higher buy-in sit and go’s that are available don’t often have enough players to run.
Cake Poker Cash Games
Cake Poker’s lower limit no limit texas hold’em traffic is very good. There are plenty of games up to $2/$4. Cake also offers micro stake tables with blinds as low as $0.02/$0.04 for players who are just starting to build their poker bankroll.
Cake Poker Competition
Cake has the reputation as a very loose poker room filled with fish. The truth is that the competition at Cake Poker is a little bit below average, but it has improved from the early days at Cake.
Cake Poker Software and Graphics
Cake Pokers software is very smooth and functional. There are 20 3D avatars to choose from, each of which are fairly realistic models of humans. The pre flop percentage, average pot size and hands per hour can all be seen from the lobby before joining a ring game table. The software is constantly being updated so any problems that may occur will be fixed quickly.
Poker Software
Cake Poker does not allow poker tracking software to be used at their poker room. According to point 9 in the Cake Poker terms of service, “it is strictly forbidden to use any automated software or computer system to play at Cake.” This means that both Poker Tracker and Hold’em Manager do not support their software being used at Cake. That being said, there is a hand history converter which allows you to use Hold’em Manager by allowing you to convert the Cake Poker hand history into PokerStars hand history which is compatible with the Hold’em Manager software.

Cake offers an extensive FAQ section where you can find the answers to most of your questions. Email support is also available and the responses are usually fast and helpful.
