Cellsino Poker Summary

Cellsino is one of the smaller poker rooms out there, desperately trying to swim upstream against the raging torrent of fierce poker competition. There are some things to like about Cellsino, but unfortunately there’s much that is still lacking at present. With the online poker market now as saturated as it is, there’s simply no room for mediocrity or half hearted attempts at going big, which is really all that can be said about Cellsino at present.
We’ll start with the good, which is their massive match bonus of 500% up to $500. This is one of the top offers out there at present, and a nice incentive to sign up. How the bonus is released is neither explained, nor implemented well though. Unlike most sites which release your bonus gradually, Cellsino only releases the bonus after you’ve fully unlocked it. If you earned a bonus of $500, you would have to earn 10,000 poker points to unlock it, which equals $1,000 in contributed rake. This isn’t a huge number by any means, but with the limited number of games available at any given time, it could still prove time consuming. It’s also possible that you would be forced to deposit more money to play enough to earn your bonus if you’re not a particularly adept poker player, which is why this system is dubious. A good offer, but be sure you can unlock it before getting too caught up in the 500% figure.
On to the mentioned poker points, which don’t offer much in the way of reward at present. Their only use at the moment is to gain entry into free tournaments with modest cash rewards. The rest of their promotions are similarly underwhelming, with a couple gruelling and expensive ways to get into a couple of live events, including the 2009 World Series of Poker.

Cellsino Poker Banking Options

Deposit and withdrawal options for U.S players come down to credit cards and bank transfers, which is standard for most sites. Players from other countries have more options, including Moneybookers, Neteller, ClickandBuy, Click2Pay, WebMoney, Paysafecard, and Ukash. Withdrawals by U.S players are restricted to bank transfers, so if you don’t have a bank account, you’re out of luck. You’ll need to provide your banking information to Cellsino, and the transfer should take 2-5 business days.

Cellsino Poker Software

The actual poker software isn’t bad, though it still has an image of the above mentioned female in it, as well as a downright disturbing giant eyeball in one corner of the program. Many of the options you would expect of a poker room are available, including exporting of hand histories, and detailed statistics.
Cellsino uses the realistic style avatars that are also used at a few other rooms. I’m not personally a fan of this style, as they tend to clutter the screen, and this is evidenced in the chat window, which is exceptionally small to compensate. The avatars can be turned off though, as can the dealer’s voice, which you’ll likely want to do immediately.

Cellsino Poker Games

As small as Cellsino is, it’s often difficult to find games to play in, with as few as 50 money players only even during peak hours. $1/$2 games are generally the limit you’ll find action in, with $100/$200 no limit games being the current limit for Cellsino. With the low player traffic, even the limited number of tournaments fail to draw much action, apart from the few guaranteed’s. Many tournaments come and pass without a single entrant registering. If you’re looking for good tournament play, this is definitely not the place to look.

Cellsino Poker Competition

Play is fairly loose, as would be expected with most games not pushing the $1/$2 blind mark. Having a 500% bonus also makes players less concerned about playing too carefully, as they want to reach their bonus above all else.
